Greetings!
The first Saturday of April, Okaloosa Correctional Institution hosted a volunteer luncheon for prison volunteers.

Warden Sloan, Chaplain Bland and Chaplain Sartin did a wonderful job hosting the event. The food was excellent and so was the fellowship. Enjoyed seeing a slide show of all the ministries that are ongoing at the facility and many of the inmates we have helped in a personal way to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Warden Sloan gave us words of thanks and encouragement. So great to have an administration that gives us the support, encouragemen, and liberty to serve the men who are incarcerated.
This month our website was updated to include a “mobile friendly” version so that folks can better able access the information on their cellphones and tablets: http://burningbrightministries.com/
We continue to minister in several local prisons: Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Century Work Release, and the Pensacola County Jail. Next Month we start a once a monthl Sunday worship service in the Berryhill Correctional Facility.
We are thanking the Lord that Dr. Bill Haag was approved to minister in the County Jail. He does a great job with his illustrations and banners/chalk drawings. He also speaks fluent Spanish and we are working to get a Spanish service started in the County jail soon.
More updates to follow. Excited about the doors opening in 2016!
Dr. Carl Deems
