1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
The apostle Paul proclaims “that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners…” He uses himself as his example because, as he says, of all the sinners, “I am chief.”
The righteous God Jesus Christ saves sinful men, in particular the apostle Paul. We could not imagine such a possibility had it not been declared to us.
God saved man through His death on Calvary, His life for our lives. His blood atonement for our sins. He was buried, yet rises again three days from the grave. Salvation a gift freely given, humbly received. Wonderful story told now for centuries: historical, prophetical, and inspirational.
Paul says Christ’s salvation of sinners is “a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation.” Christ saves sinners, even Paul, the “chief” of them all. Blessed thought.
Thank God Jesus saves sinners.
