2 Corinthians 10:17 But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
Paul says, “…let him glory in the Lord.” Here we have two subjects: the created and the creator.
Man, the created. Humbling thought. He can not make himself. His existence depends on the Creator’s provision: air, water, light, and everything else required in his physical existence. He is fallen, sinful, and mortal. He has no spiritual life apart from the Creator. He needs a Saviour.
God, the Creator. Almighty. The Word. God is the beginning and the ending. God knows and sees all things at all times at the same time: physical, invisible, spiritual. God knows the thoughts and intents of men’s hearts. God is full of love, grace, mercy, and truth. God is a righteous judge. God is saviour to a creation that could not save itself.
He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord!
