1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
These three are one; the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. The three make the godhead, the one. Not so unusual really, the idea of a three in one.
Three in one. Happens in our physical world. A family can be made up of a Father, a mother, and a child. A salad can be made from lettuce, tomatoes, and peppers. An omelet can be made of cheese, sausage and eggs. Three fish make a school. Three cows make a herd. Where one goes, all go.
Three in one. Happens in our relationships. A man can be a father, a son, and an husband. A woman can be a teacher, a coach, and a mom. One can “be” three. Three can “be” one. Where one goes, all go.
Three in one. The Father is God, the Word is God, and the Holy Ghost is God. Where God goes, all go. These three are one. Yesterday, today, tomorrow; here, there, everywhere; body, soul, spirit. All knowing, all present, all the time.
Three in one; the godhead. We see three in one in the physical world and in relationships. The Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. Where God goes, all go.
Praise the Lord for revealing Himself to us in His word.
